The Mount Sinai Clinical & Translational Science Award Program Community Engagement Core (CTSA CEC) is awarding technical mini-grants to NYC community-based organizations who are engaged in programs and projects aimed at improving the health of communities.
The objective of the mini-grant program is to foster community academic partnerships that strengthen community capacity to develop, implement, and evaluate public health programs and ultimately position organizations to successfully respond to larger funding opportunities.
We anticipate funding 3 awards in a single cycle at $15,000 each.
Selection process:
Proposals will be reviewed and selected by the Community Engagement Team for the Mount Sinai CTSA Program together with the Mount Sinai Health and Environment Across the Lifespan (HEALS) Community Engagement Team.
Applications will be reviewed based on demonstration of:
- Addressing a priority community concern
- Potential to spark interdisciplinary partnerships
- Innovation
- Impact
- Potential to lead to future funding opportunities
Awardees will be expected to attend Mount Sinai-hosted workshops tailored to the technical assistance needs of the awardees. The goal of these workshops is to directly address major technical support themes, while also providing dedicated time to project planning.
No later than 60 days after the project end date, awardees will be expected to submit a final report and/or final video detailing their project impact and progress throughout the program.
