Introduction by Ellen Lautenberg, Board Member, Institute for Exposomic Research
R. Sean Morrison, MD, shares his insights as a leading geriatrician and researcher on how environmental factors, such as air pollution, hearing loss, noise, and temperature extremes may influence the development and progression of age-related diseases including Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementias. He is joined by Robert Wright, MD, MPH, in a discussion on opportunities to address environmental and lifestyle risk factors to better protect our aging population.
This discussion is part of a community webinar series organized by the Mount Sinai Institute for Exposomic Research. Through these talks, scientists at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai will share the latest research on how the environment affects health. We aim to translate our science to empower families and communities to understand the science and make the lifestyle changes that matter most. It is supported by grant #UL1TR004419 from the Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) Program, which is part of the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS).
