Sarah Evans, PhD, MPH

In March 2025, Sarah Evans, PhD, MPH, Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, joined physicians with the Connecticut Health Professionals for Climate Action at the state Capitol in Hartford for a press event focused on educating policymakers about the critical role of climate adaptation and mitigation in protecting public health. Sophia Curdumi Pendley, PhD, MPH

Earlier in the month, Dr. Evans and Sofia Curdumi Pendley, PhD, MPH, Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, partnered with Save the Sound and the Sierra Club to meet with elected officials in Hartford. Together, they highlighted how environmental exposures disproportionately affect the health of children and vulnerable communities.
